Our second day of "orientation" really consisted of a trip up into the jungle outside Tuxtla, but in a safe part where the mosquito bites I got were deemed not malaria-threatening.
In the near future, I hope to be going to nearby Chiapa de Corzo to take a boat or kayak in the canon del sumidero.
